Two K100D reviews

Slovenian website e-Fotografija have posted review of Pentax K100D (in double-kit package). Along with thorough features and controls description there are ISO and SR tests as well as several real life samples.

And another thing. No camera company, no matter how much you like it, will give you a Mercedes for the price of a Skoda, to use a car analogy. This is just impossible with entry level cameras. It is this fact that makes the Pentax K100D that much more valuable. It has everything the competition has, and more in some cases, even though the competition may have more alluring brand names for those who are buying their first (D)SLR camera and know little of how these cameras function. All this at a considerably lower price. As always, in the end, you must decide for yourself.

And another review with a lot of samples (mostly in-studio) came from Imaging-Resource.

It’s good to see Pentax come out swinging, offering a tight, affordable camera for consumers. For my part, I’m still rubbing my chin about the concept of the K100D with a 43mm or 40mm prime lens for daily carry in a waistpack, chucking the point-and-shoot digicam in favor of a larger sensor and higher quality optics, not to mention the ease of AA batteries.
