Sigma 70mm F2.8 Macro EX DG for Pentax
Sigma Japan announced today that the new 70mm F2.8 Macro EX DG lens will be available for Pentax K-mount since October 27, 2006. Recommended retail price in Japan is 61,900 Yen or around $522. Like the Pentax D-FA 50mm and 100mm macro lenses this Sigma covers full 35mm frame so it could be used on film SLR bodies. The minimum shooting distance of this lens is only 25.7cm with the maximum magnification ratio 1:1. It’s a good choice for people who find that D-FA 50mm is too short and 100mm is too long for their photography needs. Nikon and Sigma mount versions of this lens are selling already so you can find some shots at PBase.
