Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC mini review
Joele from PentaxForums have posted Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC (on Pentax K100D) mini review. Actually, it’s just a “Pro and Cons” conclusion:
Pros
- Even wide open it is surprisingly sharp (not changing all that much when stopped down)
- Good contrast and colour rendition
- Decent AF speed (though MF is useless, its so wide at 10mm it always looks in focus to my eyes)
- Very good price for such a wide zoom lens
- Sharp through to the edges (not corners though)
- Minimum focusing distance of only 24cm
Cons
- Bulky, which is typical for Sigma, though not too heavy
- On the slow side f4-5.6
- Soft in the extreme corners, regardless of apeture.
Three pictures made with this lens could be found in the Joele’s gallery at PBase. Lens is not new and widely available for other cameras, so you can find more than 6 000 shots made with this Sigma by other people at PBase.
