Pentax third. Nikon first
According to PEN News Weekly, Nikon climbed to the top position of Japanese digital SLR market with a market share of 47% in the last month of 2006. Canon is now second with 35%. Pentax is the third major player. It’s share significantly lower than Canon’s - just 10% so far. But the nearest competitor - Sony - has only 6 percent of the market.
