Pentax Optio A20 - new 10 Megapixels point & shoot flagship - sample pictures is available on the Pentax Japan website (translated by Google). Pictures looks good. All of them made with the lowest ISO64 sensitivity settings and has no visible noise even in deep shadows. It is remarkable achievement for a tiny 1/1.8″ sensor with a 10.37 millions of total pixels. But those densely packed tiny sensors has two problems: they need very quality lens and a very harsh noise reduction system. Both leads to disappearing of fine details. Look at the pine-tree needles in the top of this picture. They were all lost. Nor downsizing, nor sharpening could not bring them back.
