Pentax K10D rating in Japan

According to Digital Arena website by Nikkei Business Publications, Pentax K10D was on the 8th place in the Japan’s Top10 best selling cameras last week and on the 6th place in the beginning of June. What’s interesting that this is the only digital SLR in the Top10 list except for Olympus E-510 4/3 DSLR.

E-510 is probably DSLR Olympus E-510.

Oh, thank you for correction, Pavel. I didn’t noticed it.
At least, no Canon’s or Nikon’s DSLRs on the list :)

Hi, I’m JimmyD from Tokyo.
Frankly I have to say, thia is not list of “Top 10 best selling”, but “High-visibility or High-profile Top 10″.
The counting method is based on the web browsing rate, click points to net-shop, comments rates, net-shop numbers, whch are handling those cameras. This is not including the selling numbers at all.
Probably, the best selling DSLR would be still Canon KDX(XTi.400D), or Nikon K40/40D, you know.

Thanks for correction, JimmyD. It’s hard to understand Japanese to English machine translation most of the time.

The caption reads:
“Chuumoku digicamera king.”
