Every time this camera wins another award my desire to get one goes up even more. I was hoping to get one before the end of the year but that is beginning to look less likely thanks to recent auto repair… The price seems to keep falling so maybe I’ll end up paying less in the end.

Or you will end up waiting for K-next-D :)

Will not make any difference. The K10D’s credibility has been wrecked by the reviews of incompetent or Canon/ Nikon biased websites and magazines. For most people it simply cannot be any good because its a Pentax.

    Andreas,

That bias will be with us always. It’s up to Pentax and to a lesser extent Pentax users to counter all that static. Pentax has their new ad campaign going forward and thats a start. They need to run it in all the photography magazines they can. Also run some TV ads, and radio. I think they also need to get more lenses and photo accessories to the market to make a more complete “system” for serious photographers. It will take time but if they are committed and willing to challenge the market leaders on some level it will be better for us all.

I agree with what you said, just to add Cnet is the worst of the offenders and Lori Grunin (so called “Senior Editor”) is by far the most idiotic reviewers of them all. Had the Pentax k10d had a Canon and Nikon label, reviewers would be head over heels.

The most fair magazine is What Digital Camera.
