Pentax K10D announced

Pentax K10D. Image curtesy Pentax CorporationPentax has announced long awaited semi-pro digital SLR camera K10D based on modification of 10.2 Megapixels Sony sensor. There is some unique features that stands out new DSLR from the crowd of 10Mpixs made by Canon, Nikon and Sony. Most noticeable of them are all-weather sealing to shoot under the rain or heavy snowfall without fear to hurt your camera body, Pentax proprietary shake reduction system (SR) which could help to get a sharp hand-held photo using up to 4 times longer exposure than usual, and 22 bit ADC which is supposed to improve picture quality.

UK based Digital Photography Review already posted hands-on preview of Pentax K10D. Another ecstatic reaction came from photographyblog.com comments. Well known Nikonian Ken Rockwell said “Wow this camera is a winner! I take back everything I ever said about Pentax.”
