It seems like Pentax has updated their lensroadmap also. Bad to see the 60-250 f2.8 is no longer expected in december (no date at all). Good news is they are still working on a 645D (D-FA 50 2,8 for 645D is coming out the same time).

  2. Jimmy D:

Which lens will you get, Pentax 18-250 SMC or Tamron 18-250 reasonable?

By the way, franky I wanna request Tamron to release SP17-50mm/F2.8 with K mount shortly, as Pentax DA*16-50mm/F2.8 is too expensive! Generally Tamron 17-50 seems better than Sigma 18-50/F2.8macro. Why Tamron 17-50 is unavailable?

  3. vk:

Both Tamron and Pentax are priced almost equally but Pentax SMC should be better.

As for Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 I think they could roll out K-mount version later.

  4. Pavel Stanek:

to Jimmy. I have to agree with you. Tamron 17-50 is perfect lens for low price…far better than Sigma 18-50/2,8(maybe better than DA*16-50/2,8, just without SSM). I still waiting for this lens for my K10D. My brother has this lens for SONY. Its really razor sharp lens.

to vk: I asked for this lens Tamron – no reply. I think that they roll out 17-50 in new version of this lens. It can be very long time 2-3 years?
