Optio W20 brief review
Ross Alford has reviewed the latest waterproof 7Mp point & shoot camera from Pentax - Optio W20. The features he likes are 1cm macro mode, a “special soft flash setting that tones down the flash when close focusing in program mode”, advanced interval shooting mode, ability to configure camera to remember focus mode, flash mode, zoom position, ISO and other settings. He dislikes lacks of aperture priority and full manual modes, too compressed JPEGs. Ross pretty excited with the image quality up to ISO200. He has posted a dozen downsized and full resolution samples. Macro is really impressive but chromatic aberrations are visible in some shots. Picture lacks of details - I think mostly due to too harsh noise reduction algorithm.
