New “pancake” Limited
Along with K10D semi-pro DSLR Pentax launched the 3rd pancake-style lens – smc PENTAX-DA 70mm F2.4 Limited. This large aperture medium-telephoto prime is the last in the reincarnation of the legendary Limited series which also includes 21mm Limited and 40mm Limited pancakes. With it’s focal length equivalent of 107mm in 35mm format it ought to be very good for portraiture. And it’s slim design measures just 26 mm and weighs a mere 130 grams is a nice reason to take it to the trip. Also, this is the first Pentax lens features SP coating – a special fluorine compound dedicated to repel dust, water, fingerprints or cosmetics.
