K100D skyrocketed Pentax imaging business

Pentax has announced half year business results. The net sales of Imaging System Business as a whole amounted to 37,144 million yen (an increase of 10.8% over the same period a year earlier). The operating income significantly improved and amounted to 229 million yen (the operating loss for the same period a year earlier was 1,569 million yen). According to Bloomberg the Pentax stock climbed 8.5 percent to 565 yen in Japan. The success of the Pentax K100D DSLR camera plays not the last role in it.

Ken Takeshita have posted at PDML the Japanese market share of five DSLR manufacturers (February 10 - August 10, 2006):

Canon - 48.8%
Nikon - 34.1%
Pentax - 8.1%
Sony - 7.4%
Olympus - 1.5%

    I think, the date of the market share numbers are wrong.
    I should be changed in October 2nd to October 9th.
