K100D gets “Highly Recommended” from DPreview
Phil Askey have posted long awaited review of the Pentax K100D (yet no K10D) digital SLR camera at DPreview website. This very thorough and comprehensive review contains fairly scientific tests of camera details and color reproduction as well as new shake reduction performance and dynamic range measurements. Comparison tests with the previous Pentax model *ist DS and Nikon D50, Canon 350D competitor’s also included. Phil likes exceptional resolution for a 6 Mpix camera, excellent detail even at higher ISO’s, Accurate and fast auto-focus, functionality, software, AA accumulators as a power source and value for money. Dislikes: poor continuous shooting mode, too loud mirror flapping and too big RAW files.
