  1. Well, looks like it is getting closer to a reality, as "Chasseur d'Images" Magazine April 2007 issue is showing it. This is the number "1" Photography magazine in Europe. This is the classic procedure as I have seen it in the past with other camera introductions. Kodak 31.6 mega pixel sensor CF and SD card slots and very large viewing screen. I have attached the article from the issue.

  4. At the Photokina in 2002 there was on display a digital back on a Pentax 645, a collaborative product of Mosaic Imaging and Marty Forscher/NPC. It used a fused coherent fiber optic bundle, similar to those used in NPC Polaroid backs for the P645 film camera, to transfer the image to the rear of the camera where the digital back was attached. Mosaic Imaging’s Luma backs are tethered, which is certainly not for everyone, but it should be possible for someone such as NPC to make a similar fiber optic insert which would be compatible with digital backs employing Hasselblad V-system interface. It would, of course, also require the eyepiece extension which is used in combination with the 70mm film back. It would add weight, but at least it would turn the P645 into a portable digital camera using widely available backs from any one of several manufacturers.

  5. P.S., I mention this, of course, because of the current speculation that the 645D will not be produced after all.
