    Recently announced for Pentax K-mount Sigma 70mm F2.8 DG EX macro lens was reviewed by ePHOTOzine. "The lens proved to be sharp right from the outset at f/2.8 and stays that way right through to between f/11 and f/16 where reciprocity starts to come in and degrade the image slightly... ...Distortion, measured with the Imatest distortion module is negligible with a reading of 0.17% pincushion, which is visually undetectable. Chromatic aberrations are so well controlled..."

    All the photos were taken with the Pentax K10D + Sigma 70mm F2.8 DG EX macro. Author complains that the lens is a bit on a slow side. "Focus can go a bit woolly on low contrast subjects."

    I have the Sigma 70mm EX DG Macro lens I love it...my Tamron 90mm macro is sharp... the Sigma is like a razor. The 70mm and my Sigma 17-70mm lens will be my 2 main lenses: the 17-70mm for my walkabout lens and the Sigma 70mm Macro for portraits and close-up work.
    I am glad to see this forum evolving...good stuff!

    They like it for superb optical qualities, excellent sharpness and colours, Limited/Full focus switch.

    Dislikes for slow and noisy autofocus.

    Butterflies shots are amazing. It prooves this Sigma is good. Pentax DFA macros are really hard to find, even more points for Sigma.
