  1. Another Pentax K10D review from the Hungarian website PixInfo. It's a very detailed 8 page review with a lot of tests (including comprehensive Dust Reduction test) as I can see from the pics.

Unfortunately, it's hard to find good online Hungarian -> English translator, so may be someone who can read Hungarian will post main points here...

  2. Steve Hardy have found "pros & cons" section translation:

    Pros:

    • CCD stabilization
    • high capacity Li battery
    • average speed for continuous shooting, but large buffer
    • large, bright viewfinder
    • 11 point AF with 9 cross-sensors
    • color temperature setting in Kelvin, can store 3 values
    • WB setting possibilities is a pro feature
    • low noise in its category, low noise in shadows
    • flash power compensation
    • mirror lock-up at 2mp shutter
    • backlit top LCD
    • RAW pics can be saved both in DNG and PEF, we can use RAW+JPG too
    • blinking high/lowlight indicator also in magnified image
    • large (2.5") LCD display with excellent resolution
    • unexampled fast memory card handling

    Cons:

    • AF assist light is flickering (does that mean that K10D uses built-in flash in "strobo" mode focusing in low light?) that seems to be somewhat obsolete in its category
    • synchronizing is only 1/180s
    • there is no separate socket for flash synchronization
    • JPG sharpening handling seems to be superficial
    • factory raw converter applies always noise filtering
    • indication of low battery power is not early enough
