Yes, you are allowed :)
BTW, the camera on the scheme looks like MZ-7 (ZX-7). Too old fashioned to be upgrade.
yeah someone else said it looks like an ist*D
...but what the hey
i just picked up another k10d/540 combo and got my first 50-135
sweeeeet!
I want to purchase the K10D, but not if I end up having to sell it to get what I really want, 12mp+ and better noise and color balance.
Their road map still shows the 645 listed, and listed for right below the 18-250mm lens. Maybe they will release it before the end of the year, giving me time to upgrade before I leave for my vacation.
If you hope to get 645D before the end of the year I'm afraid I have to disappoint you.
New 1.5x DSLRS? We are all patiently waiting. At least one new DSLR should be announced in the nearest future.
I just want to move up to a camera that can give me results half as good as the Nikon D3 is all. I wouldn't mind paying half the price to get half the quality.
the k10d has a killer color balancing system. its easy to use and my whitebalance is always dead on. plus i have the option to shift in some magenta or blue or whatever if i want to rock a sunset....
the only way i can see a better color balancing system is when they finally start to make CMYK sensors...
and i cant wait
Agreed. the K10 is good by any measure.
I don't see a 12mp being amazingly better.
When we went from 1 to 2 mp that was a big deal
by 10 to 12.... not much. What I've managed to do with the K10 is to fill up my 40 gig hard drive, and you have to downsize the photos before you can do anything with them anyway as printers won't print that resolution, displays won't display it, and email attachments won't handle it. 20% bigger won't help.
Presumably the bandwidth issues with the internet
and my hard drive space issue can be resolved, and I will soon buy a new computer that canhandle
a 10mp photo in the raw mode without exploding,
but technological solutions to the lack of a printer, or visual display or for that matter optics in the camera that can even resolve greater than thecurrent limits all make praying
for a 12 or 20 mp sensor pretty much a waste of prayer.
Digital photography has arrived where its resolution and detail exceeds that of film cameras. That was easy milage---just put a sensor in where the film was and everything works.
from here on all the subsystems associated with imaging are going to need to be pushed forward with the weakest subsystem being the limiting factor.
Even now, I would say that the need for high performance optical systems is a higher priority
than more MP's. You can't record what you can't resolve or see.
As far as printers can't print it, I don't know what kind of printers you work with, but if the width of the paper is 3 feet or more and the dpi is 1200, they sure can handle that. As far as displays can't handle that, well, that is okay by me, as long as I can get a good print out of it.
12mp is still lacking the quality of medium format, and we have optics already for that.
I understand it isn't a big deal, but it still would be nice.
so, some people at pentaxforums are rumoring and guessing that pentax might have designed their own sensor and are changing manufacturers and some other stuff.
and im just going to say that I hope it is a CMYK sensor.
8)
I think I would still love to see that Kodak sensor that Nikon uses in their D3 inside the new Pentax. Yum.
