    Hi!
    I just bought my 50-135 2.8 DA* lens, and since I've read that us K10D users have two choices with this lens, either the supersonic AF or Body AF, I was wondering how do I know which is which, and when do I know the supersonic is working?

    Life is pretty simple. the lens will work either way on the K10D depending on which software you have in the camera body. If you hear the lens whirring to focus like AF lenses are are familar with, you have the old software and it is focusing in the convential manner with the CAM drive in the lens mount.

    If it focuses silently and almost instantly
    you are using the SDM.

    The SDM ONLY works with the new version 1.3
    software. which was released a couple of months ago when the lens was released, so unless you bought the K10 in the last few weeks you probably have an older software version.

    There are instructions on the Pentax website for downloading and updating the software in your camera which is at no cost.
