My Ds is about 85000exp old. It has become shiny from holding it! The rubber on the handle is falling of and can not be reglued because it is now 2mm bigger than in its origynalstate :D (deformed)
I used it for a lot of work, and it is the most relyable piece of equipment I ever met! I broke it apart when it was 2weeks old, take it to repairs. They ordered the parts I needed, and told me to use it because it is fine inside. It took 2mounths to get all parts. So I used it for about 10000expos with a broken upper shell, a glued flash and a damaged mirror. They repared it all, and it still runs great. No change in shutter, it is still factory origyinal.
